Welcome to Mindful South Carolina. This site was created to compile resources relative to mindfulness in education. The goal is to introduce mindfulness to as many educators as possible so that they can benefit from the practice. One of the greatest benefits of the practice is stress reduction. Teachers often find themselves under incredibly stressful circumstances. As a result, many wonderful people leave the profession and, ultimately, the students suffer. Please explore the videos, links, research and other information included in the site. Don't forget to connect with me using the social media links to right. I would love to continue the conversation there.

Kindergarten teacher Natonia Lafreniere said she was also a bit skeptical when Williams first told her about mindfulness but she now practices it with her students every day. Lafreniere also helped lead a mindfulness session for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD faculty and staff this past summer.
